Fine dining,
wherever you gather.

Full-service catering, drop-off, corporate events and weddings from Chef Mark Kitching and the kitchen at Waldo’s on King — with four venues of our own to host it in.

  • Classically trained kitchen
  • Our own butcher counter in the Market
  • Four venues within a block
  • Menus built around your budget

What We Do

Four ways to put our kitchen on your table.

Whether we’re cooking on site for two hundred or dropping lunch at your boardroom for twelve, the food comes out of the same kitchen that serves the restaurant. There is no separate catering menu and no B‑team.

Full-Service Catering

Our kitchen, our staff, your room. Chefs on site, servers in uniform, china, glass and linen, and a timed service plan built around your evening. You greet your guests; we handle everything else.

Drop Catering

Restaurant-quality food, delivered ready to serve. Hot and cold platters, individually boxed meals and full spreads set out on your table — arranged, labelled and stocked, with nothing left to do but eat.

Corporate Events

Breakfast meetings, client lunches, board dinners, product launches and the holiday party. We work to your headcount, your run of show and your budget — and we invoice the way your finance team prefers.

Weddings

From the rehearsal dinner through to the late-night table. Tasting first, then a menu built for both families — including the vegetarian, vegan and allergy plates that too often get treated as an afterthought.

The Kitchen

Thirty years at the same pass.

Mark trained classically and spent his early career in fine-dining restaurants and hotels across Europe, South‑East Asia and the Middle East before settling in London.

He has run Waldo’s for more than thirty years — first as a fine-dining room, then as the bistro and wine bar that now anchors the King Street side of Covent Garden Market. The restaurant took its name from founders Jim and Ingrid Waldle, who opened it in 1987.

He also owns Mark’s Fine Meats, a few steps away in the same market. That means the beef on your plate is prime Angus — Wagyu on request — selected at his own counter, and the seafood is wild and sustainably caught. Very few caterers pick their own protein. Mark has been doing it for decades.

Where To Host It

Four rooms, all within a block.

If you don’t have a venue yet, we do. Each of these sits steps from Waldo’s, which means the food travels metres rather than kilometres — and arrives exactly as it left the pass. We’ll walk you through whichever suits your headcount.

Waldo’s on King

The room itself. Book a section or take the whole bistro, with the full wine list at hand and the kitchen a few steps from your table.

Good To Know

Questions we get asked first.

Do you have a set catering menu or price list?

No. Prices move with the market, so we quote each event individually and build the menu around what you are celebrating and what you would like to spend. There is no fixed package and no minimum.

What kinds of catering do you offer?

Full-service catering with chefs and servers on site, drop catering delivered ready to serve, corporate events, and weddings.

Can you provide a venue for our event?

Yes. We can host at Waldo’s on King itself, the event space upstairs at Covent Garden Market, and the Sky Lounge or the Lounge Room in the Aqui on King building directly across the street.

Do you cater for dietary restrictions?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy plates are built into the menu rather than added as an afterthought. Tell us the requirements when you send your enquiry.

What areas do you serve?

London, Ontario and the surrounding region. Call 519-850-8666 or send an enquiry to check your event location.

Who actually cooks our event?

Chef Mark Kitching and the same kitchen brigade that cooks the restaurant service every day. There is no separate catering menu and no second team, and the meat comes from Mark’s own butcher counter, Mark’s Fine Meats, in Covent Garden Market.
